Friedrich Schiller sought refuge at this house from December 1782 to July 1783, escaping the strict control of Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg.
The museum presents manuscripts and first editions of works Schiller created during his stay, including 'Kabale und Liebe' and early drafts of 'Don Karlos'.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday, with adult admission at 4 euros and reduced prices of 1 euro for students between 16 and 20 years.
The building's timber frame structure, uncovered during 1967 renovations, maintains its historical authenticity with restored plaster facades based on 19th-century designs.
