The Oldenburg meteorite contains silicate minerals and metal, with fragments dispersed between the towns of Bissel and Beverbruch in Lower Saxony.

The meteorite descended from the sky on September 10, 1930, making a significant impact when two stones landed 23 kilometers from Oldenburg city.

German scientists and researchers have extensively studied this meteorite specimen, contributing valuable data to international astronomical databases and collections.

The meteorite fragments, weighing a total of 16.57 kilograms, are preserved in various scientific institutions for ongoing research and examination.

This L6 group ordinary chondrite contains specific metal compositions, including nickel content between 10-50% and cobalt content between 0.25-0.7%.
