Radebeuler Goldener Wagen, Vineyard location in Radebeul, Germany
The Radebeuler Goldener Wagen extends from Lößnitzbach in the west to the eastern city border, covering 31 hectares with steep slopes reaching 100% incline.
First documented in 1401, this vineyard site became part of Saxon royal viticulture, with the name Goldener Wagen officially recorded in documents from 1710.
The vineyard gate, constructed in 1925 from red Meissen granite, features a partially gilded wagon and serves as the entrance portal to the vineyard.
The location benefits from the Elbe River's moderating effect, maintaining an average annual temperature of 9.2°C with 1,634 hours of sunshine yearly.
The terraced slopes contain 60-year-old Traminer vines that continue to produce grapes, alongside newer plantings of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Riesling varieties.
