Rothsteiner Felsen

Rothsteiner Felsen is a grauwacke rock formation standing about 15 meters tall with vertical and overhanging walls that create varied climbing opportunities. The structure includes both natural features and installed bolt anchors for securing climbing routes.

The formation developed during glacial periods through geological processes and stands out as a rarity in otherwise flat Brandenburg landscape. It remains the only natural rock outcrop of its kind throughout the entire region.

Climbers from surrounding areas gather here to practice their skills and connect with others who share the same passion. The site has become an important meeting place for the regional climbing community.

The rock is relatively easy to reach on foot and offers routes for different experience levels. During wet weather the surface can become slippery, so visiting in dry conditions is advisable.

The grauwacke formation offers boulder problems and climbing spots that appeal to both beginners and advanced climbers. Many visitors appreciate the variety of shorter problems that work well for quick climbing sessions.
