The castle rises above the Alme valley with its two-story mansion, hipped roof, and four attached tower structures near Brenken district.
Ferdinand Baron von und zu Brenken initiated the construction of Schloss Erpernburg in 1712, completing the main building by 1723.
The garden pavilion underwent transformation from baroque orangery to classical style in 1833, reflecting architectural changes through generations.
The estate includes buildings from the 18th to 20th centuries, a Loreto chapel from 1736, and burial grounds with tombstones from 16th century.
The castle suffered extensive damage during the Thirty Years War in 1622 and a fire in 1684 before its complete reconstruction.
