Schillerhaus, Historical farmhouse memorial in Gohlis, Leipzig, Germany

Friedrich Schiller resided in the upper floor during summer 1785, where he composed the second act of Don Carlos and the first version of An die Freude.
The memorial functions as a branch of the Leipzig City History Museum, displaying exhibitions about German literature and Schiller's lasting influence.
The building underwent extensive renovations in the late 1990s and reopened to visitors on October 28, 1998 with improved structural integrity.
The gardens surrounding the Schillerhaus received a redesign in 2002 to match historical models from the 18th century period.
