Solln

Solln is a residential neighborhood in southern Munich characterized by broad, tree-lined streets and spacious properties. The area features a mix of older villa-style houses and newer residences set within a green, open environment.

The neighborhood was first documented in the late 11th century and was closely tied to the Church of Saint John the Baptist. Over centuries, Solln gradually developed from a rural area into the affluent residential district it is today.

The name Solln refers to an old settlement south of Munich with deep roots in the region. Today, spacious villas and manicured gardens define the character of this affluent, green residential area.

The neighborhood is accessible by S-Bahn, which provides quick connections to Munich's center. Visitors will find several parks and green spaces ideal for walks and leisure time throughout the area.

The Balde-Höhe, located at the former Warnberg castle site, marks Munich's highest point at 579 meters. This elevation offers visitors a vantage point across the city and surrounding regions.
