Church of St. Gallen

The Church of St. Gallen features a single-aisled brick structure with a polygonal choir and a wooden bell tower attached to the west wall.

Built in 1299 upon the site of a previous church destroyed during the Battle of Altenesch in 1234, where over 6,000 individuals lost their lives.

The church interior contains a 1619 pulpit by Ludwig Münstermann, decorated with representations of evangelists and displaying intricate religious artistry.

Located at Auf Dem Strepel 13 in Lemwerder-Altenesch, the church maintains regular worship services and performs baptisms, weddings, and confirmations.

The Wilhelmi organ, constructed between 1794 and 1795, retains its original components with 18 registers across two manuals and underwent restoration in 2007.
