Triton-Haus, Modern office building in Westend, Germany
Triton-Haus is a modern office building featuring blue mirrored glass facades paired with red sandstone elements, located on Bockenheimer Landstrasse in Frankfurt's Westend neighborhood. The structure rises across 10 floors and houses workspace for multiple businesses and organizations.
The building was completed in 1987 following the 1973 land acquisition by British firm Samuel Properties. Its development emerged after extended municipal discussions about appropriate design for the site.
A memorial site in front of the building features a life-size youth figure and commemorative stone dedicated to the German poet Friedrich Hölderlin. The space serves as a place where visitors can pause and reflect on literary history.
The building is easily reached on foot from Bockenheimer Landstrasse and can be viewed from outside without entry required. The memorial in front is publicly accessible and offers a pleasant spot to pause within the Westend district.
Between 2011 and 2013, a major renovation dismantled the structure to its raw frame and integrated sustainable technologies that earned DGNB Gold certification. This transformation made it a rare example of environmental standards applied to an existing Frankfurt office building.
