The Schloss Saarstein estate maintains 11 hectares of vineyards on steep slopes with Devon slate soil that retains heat for grape cultivation.
Founded in 1828 by Forest Superintendent Ebenteuer, the estate became a founding member of the Grand Ring wine auction organization in Trier in 1908.
The winery belongs to the prestigious Association of German Quality Wine Estates, producing wines that reflect regional traditions and standards.
Wine tastings require advance reservations, and visitors can explore the vineyards while learning about the spontaneous fermentation processes used in production.
The estate produces exclusively white wines, with 90 percent Riesling grapes and an annual output of approximately 90,000 bottles.
