Alperenler-Moschee Rheinfelden

The Alperenler-Moschee is a modern prayer house for the Muslim community in Rheinfelden with dedicated prayer halls, classroom spaces, administrative offices, and areas for community events. A slender minaret roughly 21 meters tall stands prominently on the structure.

Turkish workers arrived in Rheinfelden during the 1960s and established their community there. The main building was completed in 1996, with the minaret added in 2004.

The mosque functions as a gathering place for the Turkish-Muslim community in the city, serving both as a prayer space and a center for education and social activities. It reflects the presence and integration of this religious community within the local area.

The building is located in Rheinfelden's industrial area and can be found without difficulty. Visitors planning to enter should check prayer times beforehand and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

The construction relied on volunteer work from community members and local supporters, showing cooperation beyond the community itself. An engineer from nearby Schopfheim even donated the initial architectural drawings for the project.
