The European Regional Development Fund supported the transformation of six former farmhouses into this educational center, which opened its doors in 2006.
The facility maintains the German Cheese Museum and Nieheim Beer Museum, where visitors learn about local food production methods and regional specialties.
Visitors can participate in guided tours through the brewing process, sample local beers, and explore exhibits about German food traditions.
The Nieheimer Brauzunft association operates the beer museum section, producing regional specialties such as Nieheimer Bürgerbier on the premises.
