Conquest of Mythodea, Live action role-playing game event in Landesbergen, Germany
The Conquest of Mythodea is a live action role-playing game that transforms a 100-hectare estate into a fantasy world hosting 10,000 participants. Players experience adventures, battles, and solve various missions throughout the five-day event.
The event started in 2004 as a small role-playing gathering and grew into one of Europe's largest interactive fantasy festivals. Today it uses the Niemeyer family estate and draws thousands of players annually.
Players from different countries embody characters and develop complex stories through negotiations, trade, and alliances within the game world. These interactions shape daily life in the temporary settlement and show how people create worlds together.
The site provides emergency medical services, camping areas, and food stalls on-site. Visitors should familiarize themselves with guidelines for costumes and equipment and allow time to explore the grounds thoroughly.
The temporary town of Tross is built with over 120 tons of medieval scenery and props, offering players access to 1,000 different storylines. As they walk through the busy streets, they encounter living merchants and craftspeople who keep the trading system active.
