War Academy

The Bavarian War Academy is a military educational institution located at the corner of Blutenburgstraße and Pappenheimstraße in Munich. The building sits near the former Marsfeld parade ground and served as a training facility for officers from various army branches.

The institute was founded on 1 November 1867 and developed into Bavaria's leading military educational facility. Operations ended with the outbreak of World War I in 1914.
