Parish Community Center Holy Ghost

The Parish Community Center Holy Ghost features a prominent vault extending from behind the altar, creating a distinctive white-washed architectural formation with brick elements.

Finnish architect Alvar Aalto designed this religious complex between 1959 and 1962 as part of Wolfsburg's post-war development program for cultural institutions.

The center integrates multiple facilities including a church, bell tower, parish building, and kindergarten, forming a central gathering space for the Lutheran community.

Located at Röntgenstraße 81, the complex provides spaces for confirmation classes, assemblies, and regular worship services under the direction of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church.

Five wooden slat strips spread across the ceiling in a fan pattern, while specially positioned windows distribute natural light throughout the interior without direct sunlight.
