Rathaus, Municipal building in Wolfsburg, Germany
The Wolfsburg Rathaus consists of five separate buildings labeled A through E, with the main structure featuring a modern architectural design.
The city hall foundation stone was laid in 1955 following architect Titus Taeschner's winning design, with the inauguration taking place in March 1958.
The entrance door displays a city chronicle until 1958, while the civic hall floor presents a city map from the time of the building's opening.
The administrative offices, including the Mayor's quarters and department heads, are located in Building A along Porschestrasse, the main shopping street.
The building's carillon comprises 24 bronze bells weighing between 24 and 450 kilograms, playing folk melodies hourly from 8 AM to 8 PM.
