Blaubeuren Abbey, Benedictine monastery and seminary in Blaubeuren, Germany
The monastery complex contains a high altar from 1493 and detailed choir stalls created by master craftsman Jörg Syrlin the Younger.
The Counts of Tübingen and Sigiboto von Ruck established the monastery in 1085 during the period of religious reforms and power struggles.
The monastery transformed from a Catholic institution to a Protestant seminary in 1817, maintaining its educational purpose through generations of students.
The seminary functions in partnership with Maulbronn Abbey, providing religious education and maintaining historical architectural elements for visitors.
Abbot Fabri contributed to the establishment of the University of Tübingen in 1477, connecting the monastery to regional educational development.
