Landschaftsgarten Kammerbusch is a 50-hectare wooded park on the slope above the former Schleicher needle factory in Schönthal. Paths lead past a ruined castle-shaped guesthouse, a mausoleum chapel, three towers, a lily pond, a rock triumphal arch and a grotto, with statues of emperors and Bismarck among the trees.

The Schleicher family founded the garden in 1851 and erected towers as personal monuments. Since then, the site has passed through different hands and underwent partial reconstruction in recent decades.

The garden's name Kammerbusch refers to the wooded slope above the Schleicher needle factory. The Hagartempel, named after the biblical servant Hagar, was rebuilt in 2001 by the Fourné family, owners of Gut Schönthal, with a plaque stating that the reconstruction gave the past a future. The Anna-Kapelle, restored in 2004, carries the inscription "Sanctae Annae laus et gratia" over its portal and served as a mausoleum for family members including Richard and Waldemar Schleicher.

The site offers multiple walking routes of varying lengths that you can choose based on your time and fitness level. The paths are marked and connect different parts of the park together.

The towers in the park were tributes to the founding family's children and carry their names to this day. These personal monuments show how private gardens of the 19th century linked family and space together.
