Adolfstraße

The street features a continuous row of timber-framed houses with overhanging upper floors supported by profiled brackets along the old city wall.

During the 1960s renovation project, oak wood from a 17th-century barn in Löwendorf was used to reconstruct houses numbered 11 and 13.

The buildings numbered 1 through 15 display traditional German timber frame construction with basements, intermediate floors, and red-tiled steep roofs.

The Detmold administration has established specific funding for preserving the historical buildings, with current renovation plans focusing on Adolfstraße 1.

The houses north of Schülerstraße, numbered 17 to 23, extend their upper floors directly over the medieval city wall while maintaining street alignment.
