Meilenwerk Berlin, Classic car center in Moabit, Berlin, Germany

Meilenwerk Berlin occupies the wagon hall of the former Moabit tram depot, a brick building with four naves, each with six basket-arch gates, and four long skylights carried on iron trusses. Since 2003 it has housed workshops, dealerships and 88 glass storage boxes where private owners display their vehicles. The 2002/03 renovation by Dinse, Feest und Zurl added new structures that stand apart from the old fabric.

The depot opened on 1 March 1901 as Bahnhof XII of the Große Berliner Straßenbahn, built for the electrification of the network; with 325 cars on 24 tracks it was then Europe's largest tram depot. The BVG closed it on 1 August 1964. After use as storage, three private investors bought the halls in 2002, and the Meilenwerk classic-car centre opened in 2003, renamed Classic Remise in 2010.

The space serves as a gathering point for people passionate about historic automobiles, drawing collectors, restorers, and visitors together. You can watch the craft of vehicle restoration taking place and connect with others who share this fascination for classic cars.

The facility is open daily and is easily accessible by public transport in the Moabit district. There is plenty of space to explore and the workshop areas are generally viewable throughout the day.
