Rötelstein

The Rötelstein rises to an elevation of 1,394 meters within the Bayerische Voralpen region, offering views of Staffelsee, Riegsee, and Kochelsee lakes.

The mountain paths were established by local communities of Schlehdorf, creating a network of trails that connected settlements across the Bavarian pre-Alps.

German Alpine Club maintains the yellow trail markers throughout the mountain, preserving traditional hiking routes for generations of mountaineers.

The ascent from Schlehdorf covers 7.5 kilometers with 760 meters of elevation gain, requiring approximately 3 hours up and 2.5 hours down.

While neighboring peaks receive numerous visitors, Rötelstein maintains a lower frequency of hikers, allowing for uninterrupted mountain experiences.
