Stümpfling

The Stümpfling is a mountain peak in the Bavarian Prealps reaching about 1,500 meters in height. The massif is crossed by hiking trails that pass through forested areas and open meadows.

The mountain was developed as a winter sports destination through the installation of ski lifts in the mid-20th century. This infrastructure made the location an important point in Bavaria's mountain recreation landscape.

The area hosts traditional Bavarian mountain huts where visitors can stop for local food and drinks. These huts have been gathering places for people enjoying the mountains for generations.

Hikers can reach the summit via several routes, with a popular path starting from Spitzingsattel and taking a few hours. Good footwear and weather protection are important since mountain weather can change quickly.

The mountain offers different activities depending on the season: summer brings hiking routes through forest and meadows, while winter transforms the same slopes into ski runs. This seasonal contrast creates a different experience with each visit.
