Brecherspitz

The Brecherspitz mountain reaches an elevation of 1,683 meters and stands between Schliersee and Spitzingsee lakes in the Bavarian Pre-alps region.

The mountain serves as part of the Münchner Hausberge, a collection of summits that Munich residents have traditionally climbed within a single day journey.

Local farmers maintain the tradition of seasonal cattle drives, moving their herds down from Brecherspitz mountain pastures through established alpine routes.

Multiple hiking paths lead to the summit, with the standard route starting at Spitzingsattel through Obere Firstalm and Freudenreichsattel, covering 520 meters of elevation gain.

From the summit cross location, visitors observe three major Bavarian lakes: Tegernsee, Spitzingsee, and Schliersee, along with the northern Alpine mountain chain.
