Altes Stadion Karlsruhe

Altes Stadion Karlsruhe is a sports facility on the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology campus notable for its distinctive structural design. The building features a steel-reinforced concrete grandstand with a cantilevered roof and an indoor sports hall underneath with arched supports.

The facility opened in 1930 according to architect Hermann Alker's design and has shaped the campus landscape since then. It escaped demolition in the 1970s through public discussion and was later designated as a cultural monument.
