Gutshaus Weisdin

Gutshaus Weisdin is a manor house positioned on the northern shore of Mittelsee lake in the Blumenholz area. The building features a symmetrical nine-axis facade with a central projecting section and a hipped roof that exemplifies 18th-century rural estate design.

The property came under the rule of Duke Adolf Friedrich IV of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in 1761 after the Peccatel family had owned it since 1387. This change initiated a new period in how the estate was managed and leased to tenants.

The manor contains preserved original features including ornamental plaster ceilings, a ceremonial hall, and a double-flight staircase from its 1749 construction.

The manor lies about five kilometers from Neustrelitz along the main road toward Neubrandenburg, making it straightforward to locate. Since it now serves as a private residence following renovations, visitors can only view it from the exterior and surrounding grounds.

A winter garden with exterior stairs was added to the park side during the late 1800s, giving the property an extra layer of refinement. The duke's coat of arms still adorns the gable triangle, serving as a reminder of its historical importance to the ruling house.
