Schloss Haiming

Schloss Haiming is a stone Renaissance building with symmetrical layout and steep roofs positioned near the Inn River. The complex comprises several connected wings arranged around a central courtyard, showcasing typical construction methods of Bavarian manor houses from that era.

The estate was built as a seat for a wealthy family and reflects the Renaissance movement that reached Bavaria in the 16th century. It remained under continuous ownership for centuries and was later recognized as an important architectural monument.

The castle reflects how prosperous families in Bavaria lived and conducted their affairs, blending everyday life with formal representation across its spaces. Its location near the Inn River was typical for such estates and continues to shape the local landscape.

The castle is located in Haiming's town center at Piesing 1 and is easily reached from local roads. Visitors should note that the building is privately owned and not regularly open to the public.

Beyond the main residence, the grounds contain several historical outbuildings including an old barn near Innstrasse. These farm buildings reveal the everyday operations required to run such an estate.
