Siegfried der Drachentöter, Marble sculpture in Bürgerpark, Bremen, Germany.

Siegfried the Dragon Slayer is a marble sculpture in Bürgerpark that shows a legendary hero at the moment of defeating a monster. The work stands on a round sandstone base and is located near the Parkhotel.

Constantin Dausch created this marble sculpture in 1875 as a standalone artwork for the park. It was later adapted as a fountain feature for an industrial trade fair at the end of the 1800s.

The figure shown here represents a hero from ancient Germanic sagas that remains meaningful in the region today and draws people interested in traditional stories. This spot invites visitors to pause and reflect on mythological tales and heroic deeds.

The sculpture is located in the western section of Bürgerpark near the Parkhotel and is easy to reach. The site is freely accessible and can be visited from the park paths.

The dragon's mouth once functioned as a water spout during a 1890 exhibition, serving both artistic and fountain purposes. This dual use of the sculpture reveals how artworks were often designed for multiple functions in that era.
