Liebfrauenkirche, Gothic Revival parish church in Bottrop, Germany
The Liebfrauenkirche stands with its 78-meter tower and octagonal upper section, making it the tallest church structure in the Diocese of Essen.
Construction of the Liebfrauenkirche took place between 1909 and 1914, following designs by cathedral builders Bernhard Hertel and Hilger Hertel the Younger.
The church maintains a foundation dedicated to building culture and church music, supporting the preservation of both architectural elements and musical traditions.
Regular church services occur on Saturdays at 17:00, Sundays at 10:00, and Fridays at 09:00, with the parish office located at Buchenstr 20.
The church houses a remarkable organ system combining a 1929 Ernst Seifert instrument with 62 registers and an 1855 York chorale organ added in 2006.
