Constructed in 1895, the fountain honors Frankfurt writer Friedrich Stoltze and returned to its original location in 2017 after multiple relocations.
Three bronze relief panels around the base depict scenes from Stoltze's literary works, including Francofurtia with Frankfurt's coat of arms.
Located at coordinates 50.112611, 8.679832, the fountain stands 3.20 meters tall and occupies 17 square meters in the old town district.
The previous well at this location saw a tragic event in 1696 when a maid disposed of her newborn, leading to her execution.
