Christkönig, Catholic church in Bischofsheim, Germany
The church features a seven-story tower with horizontal concrete bands, housing a clock and containing parabolic openings filled with perforated masonry bond.
Constructed in 1926 by architect Dominikus Böhm, the church replaced an older structure from 1902 that was dedicated to Saint Joseph.
The interior holds a six-meter brass crucifix by sculptor Hans Wissel, complemented by lead-glazed windows designed by architect Dominikus Böhm.
The church office opens on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Hochheimer Straße 3.
The parabolic lancet vault spans the entire length of the building and rises directly from the terracotta floor without intermediate supports.
