Halloren Schokoladenmuseum

The Halloren Chocolate Museum is housed in Germany's oldest chocolate factory and tells the story of cocoa and chocolate production. The exhibition guides visitors through the journey from raw cocoa to finished chocolate, with viewing windows and displays that show the craftsmanship behind each step.

The chocolate factory began operations in the 1800s and grew into a major producer in the region. The museum opened in the early 2000s to preserve and share the story of this long-standing family business.

The museum is located directly in the factory building and is easily reachable on foot from the city center. The exhibition spreads across several floors, with both stairs and an elevator available for access.

The museum features a large chocolate relief map that shows more than 200 buildings from the city's historic center. This artwork weighs hundreds of kilograms and captures the architectural variety of downtown from a specific moment in the past.
