Schloss Wallhausen

Schloss Wallhausen is a Renaissance castle in Wallhausen featuring exhibition halls, grand banquet rooms, and multiple courtyards set within Saxony-Anhalt's countryside landscape. The structure displays typical Renaissance architecture with symmetrical facades and regularly spaced window rows characteristic of the period.

The site holds a connection to early medieval rulers: Henry the Fowler married Matilda there, and their son Otto, the first German emperor, was born at this location. The castle itself developed later, while the House of Asseburg managed it from 1414 onward for centuries.

Exhibition rooms display objects and documents related to Otto the Great that visitors can explore firsthand. They offer a sense of how a ruler's life looked during the early medieval period.
