Stella Rheni

Stella Rheni is a 19th-century mansion in Bad Godesberg featuring classical architectural elements such as marble columns, mosaic tilework, and decorative interior paintings. The house sits within spacious grounds with views toward the surrounding countryside.

The estate was built in 1898 by architect Heinrich Plange as a summer home for the von der Heydt family. In 1927, the Jesuits acquired the property and converted it into a boarding school.

The house displays architectural choices from an era when affluent families expressed their status through grand residences along the Rhine. One can still observe this through the elaborate interior details and spacious rooms designed for entertaining guests.

Visitors should expect varied terrain and some steep pathways within the grounds, especially during wet weather. The interior rooms are connected by multiple staircases, so sturdy footwear is advisable.
