Inselpark Arena, Multi-purpose arena in Wilhelmsburg, Germany
Inselpark Arena is a multipurpose hall with 3,400 seats in Hamburg's Wilhelmsburg district used for various sports competitions and events. Two LED screens and retractable spectator stands allow quick transformations between different event types.
The building originally served as an exhibition hall for the 2013 International Garden Show. After a 14 million euro conversion, it opened as a sports arena in 2014.
The venue is home to the Hamburg Towers basketball team and draws sports fans who gather here for international competitions and boxing matches. It has become a gathering place for major sporting events in the city.
The venue is about three minutes' walk from Wilhelmsburg station and offers two paid parking lots for visitors. Inside, there is a lounge and bar where you can relax before or after events.
The arena successfully transformed from a former garden exhibition building into a major sports venue. This rapid conversion made it one of the most flexible event spaces in the region for different types of programming.
