Wasserschloss Speicherstadt Hamburg

The Wasserschloss stands on a peninsula between two canals, displaying red brick architecture with multiple towers and decorative elements at each corner.

Built between 1899 and 1912, this structure initially housed winch operators and watchmen who maintained the hydraulic storage equipment in Hamburg's warehouse district.

The building contains a tea trading house offering over 250 tea varieties, maintaining the traditional merchant heritage of the Speicherstadt district.

Visitors can access the tea house Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:30, while the restaurant serves meals until 21:30 on most evenings.

The structure appears to float between two waterways, making it the most photographed building in the Speicherstadt UNESCO World Heritage complex.
