Bilker Straße 15, Cultural residence in Carlstadt district, Düsseldorf, Germany
The Schumannhaus stands at Bilker Straße 15, featuring preserved architectural elements from the late 18th century along a cobblestone street with gas lanterns.
From 1852 to 1855, composers Robert and Clara Schumann resided in this house, where they raised their children and received visits from Johannes Brahms.
This building represents the only remaining German residence of the Schumann family, containing original features from their time period.
The house underwent renovation work starting in 2018 to transform into a museum, displaying over 1,000 objects related to the Schumann family.
LICHTbyHORST operates within this historical structure, offering specialized lighting designs while maintaining the building's cultural significance.
