St. Elisabeth, Catholic church building in northern Aachen, Germany
The St. Elisabeth church features a neo-Gothic architectural style with sandstone portals, triple-nave structure, and Moselle slate roofing completed in 1907.
The church experienced severe damage during World War II in 1943, with its roof and tower covering completely destroyed by bombing raids.
Following its deconsecration in 2016, the church transformed into Germany's first coworking space within a church nave, named Digital Church.
The building stands at Jülicher Straße 72, corner of Blücherplatz, and now serves as a workspace for startups and small businesses.
The interior maintains its net vault ceiling and twisted columns while accommodating modern office installations through reversible structural modifications.
