Architects Martin Mayer and Wenzel Schwesner completed the construction of St. Burkard between 1769 and 1770 following Bavarian architectural traditions.

St. Burkard maintains its status as an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria under the designation D-4-72-111-16, located at Oberailsfeld 23.

The church incorporates a combination of sandstone elements and a distinctive bell tower with a curved dome atop its structure.
