Kronepark, Public park in Au-Haidhausen district, Munich, Germany.
Kronepark is a two-hectare green space in the Au-Haidhausen district, situated between Nockherberg and Schmedererweg. The park offers walking paths, seating areas, limestone drinking fountains, and a children's play area.
The park was designed in 1870 by Carl von Effner for the Schmederer brewery family. In 1932, Carl Krone acquired the property, and 1955 brought protected status as a landscape conservation area.
The park bears the name of Carl Krone, whose family shaped the area for decades. It reflects the connection between industrial history and open space that characterizes this district.
The area is easy to reach by public transportation and particularly busy during warmer months. Visitors should be mindful of wet paths, as they can become slippery.
The 1955 protection status prevented the construction of 200 residential units at this site. This made it a rare preserved green space within a rapidly developing industrial neighborhood.
