St. Marien und Andreas, Gothic church in Rathenow, Germany.
The brick church features a four-bay three-nave layout with a polygonal choir and round columns supporting richly profiled arcades throughout the structure.
Initially built as a Romanesque basilica in the early 13th century, the church underwent major transformations between 1517 and 1562 under Master Andreas Lindemann.
The Protestant church contains a three-part wing altar from 1380 and hosts regular services as part of the Evangelische Kirche Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz.
The building continues renovation works in 2024, focusing on interior restoration that will reveal original column bases and historical architectural elements.
The church survived severe damage from fire and artillery strikes in April 1945, with its reconstruction spanning multiple decades until the 1990s.
