Stadion Große Wiese is a sports facility with a natural grass pitch and running track that can hold up to 13,000 spectators and features floodlighting. The seating is organized into multiple sections to accommodate different types of spectators.

SuS Hüsten 09, a club that played in the first-tier Gauliga Westfalen in the 1930s, began using the stadium in the 1978/79 season. The successor club SV Hüsten 09, founded in 1999, plays in Bezirksliga Westfalen Staffel 4. In March 2018 the defective floodlight system was repaired, and further renovations worth around 700,000 euros were planned for 2018, including new changing rooms, showers and heating.

This stadium serves as the home ground for SV Hüsten 09 football club, which plays an important role in the local sports community of the region. The club and facility have become part of the everyday sports life for people living in and around Hüsten.

The stadium is part of the Sportzentrum Große Wiese in the Hüsten district of Arnsberg. The natural grass pitch is surrounded by a six-lane athletics track, and a synthetic turf pitch has been on the grounds since 2014. The complex also includes a Finnbahn, a cinder pitch, a triple sports hall and the NASS adventure pool.

Between 2014 and 2018 the ground gained a second, artificial-turf pitch beside the natural-grass field, and its broken floodlight system was repaired in March 2018. Renovation work planned for that year, budgeted at around 700,000 euros, covered new changing rooms, showers and heating.
