The Dominikanerkloster features a three-nave brick hall church, cloister buildings, and an economic structure with Gothic architectural elements throughout the complex.
Founded in 1275 by Margrave Johann I, the monastery became one of the wealthiest Dominican establishments in northeastern Germany by 1308.
The monastery houses the Cultural History Museum, City Archives, Public Library, and Cultural Ark event center within its restored medieval walls.
