Klosterkirche Kemnade

Klosterkirche Kemnade is a Romanesque church in Bodenwerder with three naves, a Latin cross layout, and walls of red sandstone with sandstone plate roofing. The structure displays well-preserved architectural details that document different building phases of its development.

The building sustained damage during the Thirty Years' War, resulting in the loss of its western tower and sections of the nave. These changes shape its appearance today and show how it redefined itself following this conflict.
