Baumwipfelpfad Steigerwald, Forest canopy walkway in Bamberg, Germany
The wooden pathway extends 1150 meters through the trees of Ebrach Forest, reaching a height of 26 meters above ground level.
The Steigerwald Nature Park established this elevated path in the traditional forest region to promote environmental education and forest preservation.
The structure incorporates educational stations that explain the local forestry practices, hunting traditions, and sustainable wood management methods of Bavaria.
From April to October, the walkway operates daily from 9:00 to 18:00, while winter hours run Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
The 42-meter observation tower features a circular ramp with a maximum 6 percent grade, making it fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
