Klosterhofschule, Protected school complex in St. Jürgen district, Lübeck, Germany.
The Klosterhofschule is a red brick structure with long band windows located at Mönkhofer Weg 95 in the southern part of Lübeck. The building houses specialized classrooms for manual work, chemistry, and biology, plus an auditorium with a stage and a library section.
Construction of the school began in October 1929 during the Great Depression and opened in April 1931. This project represented an important educational investment made during difficult economic times.
The building displays the Lübeck double eagle above its entrance and features mosaics by sculptor Alwin Blaue. These artistic touches give the structure a distinctive character within the city.
The site is accessible from the southern part of the city, and the building's architectural features are clearly visible from outside. Visitors should note that interior access may depend on school schedules and activities.
The building contains a functional planetarium housed in one of its towers. This rare facility was developed in 1931 through collaboration between Johannes Klöcking and Ernst Nachtigall.
