Heinzenmühle

Heinzenmühle is an old mill building in the Satteldorf countryside, constructed with timber framing and a sloped roof. The structure now stands as ruins in the landscape and still shows the craftsmanship of its construction period.

The mill was built to grind grain for the local population and played an important role in supplying the region. Operations ceased when modern milling technology reduced the need for such facilities.

This preserved structure represents the farming traditions of Baden-Württemberg, highlighting the methods of food production that sustained local communities.

The building sits along several hiking trails that pass through the countryside and offer different viewpoints. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for uneven terrain.

Two old fish weirs next to the mill are today reminders of how this location was used centuries ago. These water structures allowed people to catch fish and show how varied the resources of the area were used.
