Rosa-Luxemburg-Denkmal, Monument to Rosa Luxemburg in Schöndorf, Weimar, Germany.
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Denkmal features an obelisk constructed from Ehringsdorfer travertine, topped with a hammer and sickle symbol at its summit.
The monument was inaugurated on April 30, 1959, forty years after the assassination of Rosa Luxemburg, a prominent leader of the Communist Party of Germany.
An inscription carved on a boulder adjacent to the obelisk displays Rosa Luxemburg's words: 'I dream of studying art in free moments'.
The monument stands at Rosa Luxemburg Square, near Franz-Mehring-Straße, and serves as a starting point for political gatherings and demonstrations.
The installation became part of the Bauhaus project Nachschlag 1999, connecting the memorial to the broader architectural heritage of Weimar.
