Mercedes-Benz Welt

Mercedes-Benz Welt is a museum complex in Stuttgart that includes a nine-level exhibition building with a distinctive trefoil shape, as well as adjacent facilities for vehicle deliveries and events. The architecture features slanted walls and open floors that reveal more than 160 displayed automobiles and numerous technical exhibits.

The museum opened in 2006 on the factory grounds in Untertürkheim and replaced the former exhibition housed directly within the factory. Since its opening, it has presented the history of the automotive brand from the early days of motorization to the present.

Two spiral pathways guide guests through the exhibition rooms and connect different eras of automotive history since 1886 in a continuous route. This intertwined path system allows visitors to move through both chronological and thematic displays of mobility development.

Audio guides are available in several languages and help navigate the nine floors of the building. The tour begins at the top level, from where visitors gradually move downward.

The supporting columns are located only at the outer edge of the building, leaving the entire interior space free. This construction creates wide sightlines across multiple floors.
