Loblocher Schlössel, Historical building in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany
The Loblocher Schlössel stands at Kurpfalzstraße 76 and features a square tower with slate roofing that rises alongside a larger roof turret on the main structure. The ensemble combines different architectural styles and functions within one property.
The building came into being around 1890 through the renovation of a baroque structure and incorporated architectural elements of a small castle with a barn arch dating from 1599. This combination shows how older agricultural structures were integrated into later representative buildings.
The former stables now serve as a wine tavern surrounded by a cobblestone courtyard that reflects the wine traditions of the Pfalz region. Visitors can experience here the traditional link between agriculture and winemaking that shaped this area.
The property today functions as the Estelmann winery with a restaurant offering Turkish cuisine and wheelchair accessibility. Online table reservations are available, making a visit convenient.
The central building underwent renovation in Neo-Renaissance style while the original agricultural buildings were preserved, creating an architectural ensemble from different periods. This approach allowed the functioning wine and dining business to integrate seamlessly with historical structures.
