Stentzlers Hof

Stentzlers Hof is a five-story commercial building in central Leipzig with a limestone facade. The exterior displays lion head corbels and allegorical figures positioned above the first-floor windows.

Architect Leopold Stentzler built this structure between 1914 and 1916, incorporating design elements from earlier buildings. Renovations from 1994 to 1996 added a glass roof over the courtyard and reopened the Petersstrasse entrance.

The building displays craftsmanship typical of local architecture, particularly in how the courtyard is designed and detailed. Visitors can observe the care taken in the decorative elements and structural choices throughout the space.

The building sits in the city center and is easily reached on foot, with the entrance accessible from Petersstrasse. The courtyard under its glass roof remains accessible regardless of weather and invites exploration.

Within the inner courtyard stands a historical bay window from the 17th century fitted with bull's-eye panes that spans two floors. This feature demonstrates how older building elements were preserved during the structure's modern update.
